Our story

A trip down memory lane

Zoie and Mike are a wife and husband team, based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. They both had a long history working in marketing.

Being passionate foodies with Greek and Italian heritage, slow food was always placed extremely high on the priority list. From living in Wellington, NZ; to visiting family in Italy and Greece; to eating their way through NYC and extensive travel throughout Central America there have been many cultural influences over the years.

What Zoie and Mike realised was that behind all their experiences, slow cooked food was always the key behind their favourite dishes.

With kids in the mix the age-old ‘kids and work juggle’ was getting extremely difficult to juggle. So slow-cooked, family food was being replaced with quick fixes; to make up for the lack of cooking time.

With their baby boy only 12 months old at the time, Zoie had one hand on a baby-rattle and another firmly gripping her Mum’s sacred family recipes. This is when the spark for the first Harvest Lane signature dishes came from.

From the cook

Harvest Lane came about somewhat organically; after years of cooking for friends and family, sharing recipes and developing some signature dishes, a close friend said ‘you should go into business!’

Initially I laughed at the idea (after all…I’m a passionate cook, not a professional chef) but the seed was well and truly planted and when the time was right, with the support of my husband and our two little people, Harvest Lane was launched.

Fast forward a bit (throw in a global pandemic and a couple of lockdowns for good measure), and Harvest Lane remains committed to quality, gourmet, wholesome food, made with love right here on the Northern Beaches.

From our family to yours, enjoy!
